The FPWA Sexual Health Services Library has a large collection of resources suitable for professionals, students and the general public.
Resources include books, journals, DVDs and videos covering all areas of sexual and reproductive health.

Some of the subject areas include:

• Contraception
• Conception, pregnancy and birth
• Women's and men's health
• Sexuality and disability
• Multicultural and Indigenous health
• Legislation/legal rights
• Statistics
• Ethical, philosophical and religious aspects
• Gender and sex roles
• GLBTQ
• Sexual dysfunction
• Sex education for parents, teachers, and children

Interactive/educational games, contraceptive kits, condom demonstrators and Magnel Kits (a magnetic display of male and female reproductive processes) are also available for hire.

A selection of books and teaching materials are for sale in the FPWA bookshop. All the items in the bookshop are also available for loan or hire from the library.

Loans

Members are welcome to borrow the following:

• 4 books for 3 weeks
• 2 DVDs/videos for 1 week

Items can be posted to those in rural areas, and extended loan periods can be arranged.

Opening Hours

Library Contribution

There is no charge to access information but you will need to join the library if you want to borrow items. To join the library costs $10 per annum or $5 for concession (students, Health Care Card holders or existing clinic members). Organisations, such as schools, can join the library for $25 per annum and are entitled to hold three library cards.

Statistics

We have compiled a reference list of commonly asked for statistics for ease of use by students and researchers. The list includes (but is not limited to) STI rates, youth sexual behaviour and attitudes, unplanned pregnancy and abortion.
