Hooray! Quarry Health Clinic is now open from May 6th 2013 in their brand new premises on Aberdeen street in Northbridge! Clinics were temporarily held at FPWA clinic, 70 Roe St, but now we are up and running and all services, clinical, counselling and education will be from these premises.

Services Available at Quarry
Sexual health clinics
Female doctors and nurses are available for confidential consultations on issues such as:
- Contraception, including emergency contraception
- STI testing and treatment
- Pap smears
- Safe sex information
- Pregnancy tests
- Unplanned pregnancy support, including abortion information
You are also welcome to bring a friend, parent or support person with you to Quarry if this makes you feel more comfortable, but the doctor or nurse will ask to see you on our own during the appointment.
Youth-friendly counselling
Our Quarry counsellor is available to talk with you about anything you're having problems, and all sessions are confidential. Some of the issues that can be dealt with are:
- sexual orientation and identity
- relationships
- emotional problems
- self esteem and many more.
Education
Our Quarry Educator is available to facilitate workshops and sessions in schools and youth and community settings. Topics covered include:
- safe sex
- negotiating consent
- contraception
- STIs
- pregnancy
- relationships
- problem solving and risk-taking behaviours.

How much does it cost?
All services are low-cost and can depend on your individual circumstances, so please contact Quarry to discuss your situation. For clinical services, the annual client administration fee is $50.00 or $15.00 for:
- Young people under 18 years
- Students (including international students)
- Healthcare Card holders
- Aboriginal people
- Refugees
- People with a disability
This fee entitles you to unlimited clinic visits for 12 months (fees are reviewed annually). Supplies such as contraception and pregnancy tests are charged for (prices vary).
Medicare will cover the cost of testing for sexually transmissible infections (STIs), so have your card handy when you come in to see us. If you don't have a Medicare card, or want to find out how to apply for your own card if you are 15 or older, please ask Quarry staff for more information. Medicare information for overseas visitors
Do I need a referral?
No. Many young people come to Quarry after hearing about us through friends, family members or health professionals. You can make an appointment by contacting Quarry via phone, or you are welcome to drop-in and make an appointment if you are in the area.
